Keep the winter chill at bay with this bright, seasonal bourbon sour. A hint of Amaro CioCiaro adds complexity and echoes the bittersweet orange flavors.

1.5 oz Belle Meade Bourbon
.25 oz Amaro CioCiaro
.75 oz blood orange juice
.25 oz lemon
.5 oz honey syrup (2:1 ratio raw honey to water)
1 dash lemon bitters
Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker. Add ice and shake until chilled. Strain into a chilled coupe or rocks glass filled with ice. Express the oils from a lemon peel over the top of the drink and garnish with the peel.
